By accessing this website, we assume you accept these terms and conditions. The following terminology applies to these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Statement and Disclaimer Notice and all Agreements: “Learner”, “You” and ““Your” refers to you, the person log on this website and compliant to the Company’s terms and conditions. “The Company”, “Ourselves”, “We”, “Our” and “Us”, refers to our Company.
- Course fee: Course fee is including the Training, exam fees and training materials.
- Attendance: SIA linked qualifications are regulated and all learners must attend the full training according to the course timetable. We do not accept any late arrivals and you must complete the full hours of the training. Failing to attend any of the course or arriving significantly late will result in you being removed from the course.
- Course rescheduling: You can reschedule your course for free, once, if you contact us at least 48 hours before your course start date. If you contact us within 48 hours of your start date, or you reschedule more than once, there will be a £150 fee applicable.
- Our Changing of your Course: Very occasionally, we might need to change the date/time/location of your course. If we need to do so, whether in part or in full, we will notify you as soon as is reasonably possible of such changes. At this point, you can then decide whether to: accept the new changes / change your course to one of our alternative advertised courses / treat it as though we have cancelled your course and receive a full refund
- Refunds Policy: You will qualify for a refund (minus an admin fee of £100) if you cancel your course within 14 days before your course start date. No refunds are applicable if the time left for the course start date is under 14 days. If you fail to attend a course without any communication, you will not be eligible for a refund or a reschedule. You will receive a full refund If we cancel your course in a highly unlikely event.
- Results/certificate: We receive your results/certificate within 10-16 days from your exam date and you will be informed via email or SMS as soon as we receive your results or certificate. You will be emailed a digital copy of your certificate upon achievement.
- Resit: You are entitled to one free resit for any failed units. Failing to attend a scheduled resit date will result in you losing your free resit. If you need more than 1 resit or fail to attend your first resit, you will be charged £75 for any resits thereafter.
- ID and Lateness: It is a legal requirement that you have ID on you for the duration of your course. If you do not bring ID with you, you will be required to reschedule your course dates and will incur £150 admin fee to do so. If you are going to be late for your course, you must notify us as soon as possible. If you are going to be considerably late, you will be required to reschedule to an alternative date and will incur a £50 admin fee.
- Pre-Learning: If you have booked yourself onto a course that requires pre learning before day 1, this learning must be completed before attending the course. If you turn up on day 1 without your pre-learning, you will be required to re-schedule and will incur an admin fee of £150.
- First Aid: It is a legal requirement that you have a First Aid certificate before starting your SIA course. If you already have a First Aid qualification, you must bring your certificate with you on day 1 of your course. Failing to bring your certificate on day 1, will result in you having to reschedule your course and you will incur an admin fee charge of £150. If you complete your First Aid training with SkillSpring before your SIA course, you do not need to supply your certificate on day 1 of you SIA course.
- Behaviour: Any inappropriate behaviour in the classroom that may cause disruption to your training and the other learners’ training, will not be acceptable, and you might be approached to leave the premises. In this circumstance, you will be suspended from the course until further investigation and you will not be entitled to any refund or reschedule.
- Job support: We help our learners by providing advice, guidance and connecting with security companies in their geography.
