Course Details
The SIA Level 2 Door Supervisor badge will allow you to work in various different security roles, including but not limited to: Retail, Corporate, Bars and Nightclubs, Events and festivals. This training course runs over 6 days and is divided into 4 units. At the end of the course, you will sit through a multiple choice examination. The course comprises of the following:

- Health and Safety for private Security operatives
- Fire Safety awareness
- Emergency procedures
- Communication Skills and Customer Care
Unit 2:
- Working as a Door Supervisor
- Behavioural Standards
- Civil and Criminal law
- Searching
- Arrest
- Drugs awareness
- Recording incidents and Crime Scene preservation
- Licensing law
- Emergency procedures
Unit 3:
- Conflict Management for The Private Security Industry
- Avoiding Conflict and reducing personal risk
- Defusing Conflicts
- Resolving and learning from Conflicts
- Application of Communication Skills and Conflict Management for Door Supervisors
Unit 4:
- Physical Intervention Skills for The Private Security Industry
- Introduction to physical intervention Skills
- Must-know legislations
Course Assessment
At the of the course, you will be assessed on the course units. The assessment format for each unit is broken down below:
Unit 1 – Working in The Private Security Industry: A multiple choice question exam with 40 questions. For each question, you will have to chose the correct answer from 4 options provided to you.
Unit 2 – Working as a Door Supervisor: A multiple choice question exam with 45 questions. For each question, you will have to chose the correct answer from 4 options provided to you.
Unit 3 – Conflict Management for The Private Security Industry: A multiple choice question exam with 20 questions. For each question, you will have to chose the correct answer from 4 options provided to you.
Unit 4 – Physical Intervention Skills for The Private Security Industry: This unit is assessed by the trainer on the course based on observations. You will be required to demonstrate basic physical intervention techniques learned on the course.
All of the assessments will be conducted within the course duration.
We understand that exams can be daunting or nervous for many candidates. Many candidates on the course have not sat an examination in a long time. The trainer on the course will equip you with all the knowledge needed to pass.
